Default 2000 Dakota cold start problems

Hi. I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport 3.9 V-6. The issue is when I start the vehicle the 1st time in a day it immediately dies if I do not keep my foot on the accelerator and keep the RPM's at 1000-1100. Once the engine is completely warmed up it runs and will start just fine the rest of the day just as it should. I initially thought there could be a moisture issue, so I changed the distributor cap and rotor, which didn't solve the issue. The engine light has never come on so my assumption (right or wrong) is that it is not throwing any codes. Any ideas?

Thank You.

I'd start with the IAC. Clean or replace.

Thank You. Removed, cleaned, and re-installed IAC. Didn't solve the problem.
