Here's a comment - I have no idea, but it's all in the factory service manual.

Which, since my truck is a 1988, I don't have for a 1997, alas.

SUPPOSEDLY! The 2000 manual (available from links on this site) will do the job. However, I won't swear to that at all.

I have the same comment as Ralph, find a factory service manual.

First questions, why are you swapping the PCM? What's in the Jeep now?

If all you want it to do is "run correctly" put an electronic ignition distributor in it, dump the PCM and all that crap. The YJ is ODB 1 so why bother.

aww at last the question of why go obd 2. simple answer is that i have a flashed interseptor ecu with no rev limiter no shut off and no codes. as for the jeep it has a 2.5L with a busted Ax5 and the dakota i have is smashed in the tail and living in the ADK the 4 banger is getting worked really hard climbing the moutains. Yes the 2000 factory manual would be great if they still had the 5.2 as an option in the 2000 model being as then ended that in 1999 it mean that it does me NO FING Good except for toilet reading. I have the wiring harness and diagram i just wanted a second opinion on if i was right on whats needed being as 26 people viewed this im going with the assumption that no is my answer. so ill will scan and up load the photo and see if anyone else feel the same on my notes.

ok here is what i have all ready. Page 1: drivers and sensors all the orange need to be saved unmarked is questionable and black is deffently not used

Page 2 in the connection page

Page 3:and the most important of the 3 this is the B+ and power control from the ignition and out to the ASD. I know Number 3,12,15,19,25,26,27,28,29,30,31 all need to but connected and used in the propor manner.

now questions i have::

1 can i run the ASD RELAY CONTROL directly to the ASD sens aka pin 3 to pin 12 will this totally bypass the ASD allowing for me to remove the relay and wiring harness for that system.
2: P/N signal will it need to be bypassed being as im programmed for a manual trans.
3: can i use the VVS IN signal to convert to a Squair wave from my YJ dash???

thank you for any help anyone can give me!!!!
