Default Pulling to the left

02 dakota quad slt 4x4
104,000 miles

About 1.5 years ago i did upper and lower ball joints, no alignment cause i knew i was gonna do tie rods.

6 months ago i did inner and outer tie rods, moog. No alignment yet.

A month ago i put on used uniroyal laredo tires that still have 90-95% tread.

Yesterday i finally got the alignment done by a local chevy dealer. Toe was adjusted to .05 in on each side. Camber was in spec. Caster was out by .01 on both sides, couldnt adjust cause the rust is horrible on the adjustment bar.

Car pulls to the left and requires driver input to correct. I rotated tires and same thing. Any ideas what to try next?

Take it back. If they still can't adjust it take it to a shop that can and tell the Chevy dealer you want a refund or you'll see them in court.

It can be a big job to align the truck once things rust. A good shop should know how to deal with it though and not partially complete the job.

I did have the ball joint recall done but I've also put in moog ball joints since.

Tech said everything was tight.

I haven't paid much attention on acceleration or deceleration, I'll check tomorrow.

Control arm bushings are still stock. There are no unusual thuds or clunks in the front end, quiet.

Would worn shocks show up on the alignment or can they be bad and not show up on the alignment machine.

I believe it did pull before the alignment but I thought it was due to new tie rods.

The first thing the technician should do before they try to align a vehicle is inspect all the components. Even the ride height plays a role in the alignment.
