gear shifter on 2001 dodge dakota . a little tough getting out of park when u first start it. fine while driving until u stop and turn off and start again. 3.9 v6 automatic

I have same problem on 2002 V-8. It seems to only happen when cold starting. After initial use works fine all day. Do you know what is causing it ?

mine was giving me a problem when starting . did like guy said in video took rubber houseing offf ignition and sprayed some wd-40 been fine so far no problem

Thank you for your input. Followed the u-tube feed and everything was just as shown. I lubed the mechanisim and everything is good. Next day the temp was 15 and it came out of park smoothly. Thanks again.
