Transfer Case swap
I have a 95 Dak, and a 02 Dak, they both have the NV-231 T-C (I have crawled under both and checked the tag). However, the 95 is manual shift, the 02 electric shift.
The T-C in the 02 has a stripped pinion gear, I've had two shops tell me it would be cheaper to just swap out the two I already own, (my idea) as the only labor would be dropping and reinstalling, and not rebuilding plus parts.
That is if the electric motor will bolt up to the older T-C. So does anyone know if the motor will bolt up? Or should I go ahead with rebuilding? The 95 is in rough shape and is basically a parts truck so I'm not worried about losing the 4wd in it.
