Default 99 Dakota/Durango 5.2 engine swap

Hello,

I am planning to replace a blown 5.2 L in a 99 Dakota with a 5.2 L from a 99 Durango.

Before I buy the motor, I wanted to ask what the major differences are between the two motors to plan for.

Thank you in advance!

Ashton

Here are the notes I got from the junk yard - can anyone elaborate on what the wiring differences are?

As long as the VIN code from the new motor matches the trucks VIN code you wont have to change any wiring double check your VIN on the truck against the code for the motor if there not the same look for a motor with the same code other wise you'll need to change a lot of stuff that isn't necessary..

You don't change any wiring, you use the harness, connectors, sensors and accessories from your existing engine.
