With a torsion bar suspension this has everything to do with ride height. Sounds like they need to be adjusted. The rams have these on 4x4 models. The factory service manual will have the correct way to adjust the torsion bar.

Look at the factory service manual about adjusting and inspecting. I've never done it but it sounds easy. Sounds like this has to do with the ride height too. So I'd definitely look into it.

I'd start with torsion bars first. Then go from there

Yes - Google for "Dakota SAS" .

Or, if you're not hung up on a 4WD truck, sell that one, and buy a 2WD that's coil spring in the front.

(Torsion bars have some advantages on the road, now ... so you might want to reconsider that. Or not, depending on what you're doing.)
