Default 231D transfer case

Hey,
I am in the process of trying to find a transfer case for my 99 dodge Dakota. I have found multiple transfer cases that have the 231D but the assembly #'s have all been different.
My question is, can I use any 231D transfer case?

Auto or manual?

The Dodge Reman catalog lists 52105407AC for the 5 speed transfer case with any engine and 52105674AA for the auto - with the 5.2 or 5.9.

It's a 3.9 in 1999. The 3.7 came out in 2004.

Unfortunately the 3.9 is not listed for the auto.

I attached the pages from the parts catalog. AN body is the Dakota.
