Default Power windows issue 00 Dakota.

Hey guys have a 00 Dakota extended cab. Every once in awhile the power windows will just quit neither side will work on either button. It may last a few min to a couple of hours. Then all of a sudden there back and work fine. Nothing else is amiss everything still works other than that. Any ideas suggestions?
Is there a power window relay some where?
Thanks in advance. Charles

Lightbulb Service Manual

Check the wiring harness to the driver's door. 15 years of flexing breaks wires.
According to the service manual, there is a 20 amp circuit breaker for the power windows. It is shown as being on the Junction Block.

I've been trying to sell my Dak and that was one of the main issues was windows wanted to work when they wanted to; esp when it was raining.

The drivers side harness on the back side well i found the hot lead was loose on the input as well as the output one for the passenger side (on the same driver side switch) the round connector was not making contact to the pin properly.

If you can manage to get it out with out breaking ityou can try and crimp the circle more but as for me i just rigged it with a very short thin copper in there acting as a shim and then put the cover back on harness to hold it all tight.

NO issues since. Best way to figure it out which wire is start probing.. when i did mine i completed the circuit with the probe and that's how i knew it was my problem wire.
