Default Towing a RV

I just bought a 02 Dakota Sport 4x4 4.7 V8 with a long bed. I would like to tow a 5th wheel RV that is 24.5ft long. Is this possible and safe for my size truck? If I can't tow this safely.....what size of RV would be better? I have a regular hitch also. Does that mean I have a "tow package"? Any info will help me. Thanks everyone!

Welcome to the forum Troy.

Just having a hitch does not mean you have the tow package. You can get a build sheet, which will tell you all the options, from this thread:https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ur-dakota.html

As to whether or not you can tow the trailer, you need to find out the weight of the trailer.
