I was wondering ... what is the way to identify the engine by looking at it when you pop up the hood. I bought a used dakota 2000 (which should be a 4.7) but my father thinks that my engine could have been swapped in the past.
So how can I identify the engine by looking at it under the hood?
4.7 will have a plastic intake manifold with the TB facing forward. 5.2/5.9 have the "kegger" intake (looks like half a keg) with the TB on top. Not really sure how to tell the 5.2 and 5.9 apart, they look the same.
