Default Pan plug

OK this should be an easy one. Oil pan plug is stuck, don't know what previous guy did but it ain't moving. Striped the head beyond recognition. Looks like after market plug with hard rubber gasket attached. Last attempt was with large vice grips and that just rounded off whole thing. I thing either used thread lock or job weld or thread repair
Sugestions please. Drill heat?

Default Oil plug

Had to use a propane torch and vice grips to get it free. Who does this to their vehicles

Thumbs up

From what I hear a stripped oil drain plug is the number one DIY F-UP. Understanding how hard or soft to tighten any size nut or bolt in aluminum or steal is a must for any DIY project.

Just crank it down dosent work

Remember righty tighty lefty loosy

I cant say what other Dakota engines use for an oil drain plug but my OEM 2.5 oil drain plug has a rubber formed gasket kind of molded onto it and I still use it after 20 years you could say its like an oil filter rubber seal just snug works great.
