Default 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab - Key doesn't work in door

Recently I have found that my key will not unlock the drivers side door. The key does go in and turns freely - but I can tell it is not catching anything. I have tried both of my keys - same issue. The remote key fob does work fine. Anybody have any ideas on the fix to this issue?

Welcome to the forum Tallan.

Is it the original door? What conditions are the keys in? Sometimes they wear and won't work in some locks.

Then again, nobody has probably used the lock - ever. You have RKE so why bother? The pins/tumblers might just be frozen in place. You could try to clean and lubricate the door lock - it might help.
