Default Front shocks

Ok i purchased a 97 dakota 4wd it had been sitting for 3 years. I replaced the front end suspension over the weekend. The main bolt on the front shocks however broke off and i am wondering what the best way to get this bolt out is without damageing the threads?

Probably some heat and a bolt extractor.

It's a common problem.

For the upper shock nut, a sawzall or cut-off wheel. Slide it under the bushing and go to town.

For the lower bolts, as previously stated, a bolt extractor is pretty much your only option.

Another option is to replace the control arm. They're $70-80 new, and you could probably find them at a salvage yard much cheaper, though I'd put new bushings in if you go that route.
