Angry Dakota Dash Guages Not Working

Hi, I am in the UK and my dash gauges have all gone off! Occasionally they will all flick on for a second then go off again. Is there a common fault? Or an earth/connector which would cause this before I have to pull dash out?
I have not had this truck long and I did a 'check' with the computer and it comes up with codes 900/920/921/940/950 and 999!! Some of these might be old one's ?
Thank You, Tim

Hi,

900 - CCD data bus is not operational
920 - The cluster not receiving a vehicle speed sensor signal from the PCM.
921 - The cluster not receiving a distance pulse message from the PCM.
940 - The cluster is not receiving an Airbag lamp-on message from the ACM.
950 - The cluster is not receiving an ABS lamp-on message from the CAB.
999 - An error has been discovered.

The CCD bus is the likely problem. Something can be shorting it out. What year is your Dakota?

I've moved your post to the proper forum.

Hi Dan, This is a 1997 3.9 2wd. I had a 2000 4.7 4wd before for 8 years and it is the best truck I ever had. Tim.

Check the dash brackets where they attach to the body on both ends. They're behind the kick panels. One large bolt on each, make sure they're tight. If it's happening and it's the ONLY symptom, I would start going at grounds for sure.
