Hey everyone,

My Dakota will crank but it takes a few times for it to fire up. It got better when I replaced the power steering switch and replaced the old spark plugs.

However, it still has the issue..... just reduced.

Anyone know what could be causing this? Thank you.

 

What year, engine and trans?

 

if it runs fine after you do get it to run, then your check valve is shot in the fuel return line, basically you need a new fuel pump..i would do a fuel pressure test to verify..
