Default Odometer doesnt work, is it the sensor on the driveshaft that fixes this?

1999 Dakota Sport
5.2 Magnum
automatic
4x4
148k on it and odometer quit

is it a sensor on the ds that fixes it? will that also fix the cruise control that isn't working now?

what can I expect to pay for the part and where is it located?

thanks from the new guy that needs expert help!

is the speedometer also not working?

Some trucks have a tailhousing sensor (particularly 4x4), but all trucks have a sensor on the rear axle housing. They may or may not all function similarly.
