Default Planning a 5 speed swap-- a few stupid questions

I have a 2002 Dak, 3.9l 2wd with a 42re that I want to replace with an nv3500 from another 2wd 2002 Dak 3.9.

I have access to all the necessary parts except for the computer.

I just have a few stupid questions..

Is there a place that can reprogram my computer to get rid of the trans sensors? Or do I have to find/swap for another computer and have the mileage programmed in?

Are the drive-lines different lengths? I plan on grabbing the output yoke but don't want to pay for the drive-line if I don't have to.

Also if you have any advice or cautions for me I appreciate it.

UPDATE: it turned out to be a junk transmission. I pulled the driveline and there was up/down play in the output shaft and about 1/2 inch rotational play through all gears. It would need a full rebuild IMO.

Decided to scrap the idea for now, looking into a shift kit for the 42re to make it last longer and tow better.

I might also look at lower gearing in the rear end, 3.55s are too high.

Your 02 doesn't have a 3.9 nor does it have a 42re transmission.

Then why does my build sheet say 2002 3.9 with 42re trans?? They made the switch to the 3.7 in '04
