Yes, I just checked and I am getting the 5.3v at Pin 2. I checked this with the AC on and the engine at normal operating temp and it always reads 5.3v. I don't think my scan tool is smart enough to give me this kind of data, is this something the dealer can scan?

I don't believe so.

It's more likely a PCM circuit failure. Could be a bad solder joint internally - if I had to guess.

If you've ruled out everything else then the PCM is the likely fault.

Question

Was/is your A/C in 100% working condition all sensors connected high and low pressure sensors clutch activation wire attached and all wires in good shape?

Be sure you have freon and not out could compressor be locked up?

Just asking

Default Fan Problems

I have tested and swapped the relay and 30amp fuse, changed the 10amp fuse and nothing. I tested the fan directly with 12v power and it runs, even tested the power at the relay and fan runs. When I checked the power distribution center with a voltmeter I get 13.4v at the "power all the time" pin, 13.4v at the "power on" pin and 5.3v at the wire from the PCM pin. I tested the ECT, and replaced it to be safe, and it checks out (temp gauge is working). When I unplug ECT the fan does not come on, it should according to other threads for safe mode.
What am I missing? Is this a PCM problem? I was thinking the PCM would only power the relay when the ECT told it to, but I am getting 5.3v all the time.
I have the same problem with my fan. I have been told that power to the fan is not the problem, the power is always there. The PCM sends a ground signal to the fan and that is where the problem is. I don't want to spend the money on a new PCM so I plan to run my own ground and put it on a toggle switch.

It's just a two wire pigtail. Neg and pos. Power is not always there. 12 volts is supplied when relay turns on. Fan always runs when AC is on.
