Rear Turn Signal/Brake Light Issues
After quite a bit of research I'm getting too many mixed answers and couldn't find a thread that described my specific issues. Please bear with me...
Recently the rear drivers side turn signal on my '04 Dakota sport will stop working (thus the front signal will blink at a rapid rate) and then start working again randomly. Tonight the brake light and blinker on the same side went out briefly, then both start working again. Went back out to check them and not working again, fast blinking front drivers signal. The rear bulbs have been replaced and fuses checked.
Is there any easy fix for this that anyone knows of? Or is this some kind of electrical wiring/corroded connection nightmare?

Check the socket for the bulb.
Do you have any kind of aftermarket (spliced in) trailer wiring harness? That'd be another place to look.
All the rear lights use the same ground so it is unlikely that that is the issue.

Mine did something like that and my mechanic found the connector screwed up. Direct wired it and problem solved. Of course when we (he) installed my trailer tow pack he needed to undo that repair job to install the wiring adapter~~~
Just wanted to follow up here that it ended up being the signal relay (under the steering column). $60 part. I read there were some other quick fixes for the relay, but decided to just get a new one. Everything has been working great for over a week now.
