Default radiator replacement

2004 3.7L with AC. Just noticed dripping from bottom of the radiator and coolant overflow tank empty (was full a few months ago).

Think the radiator is leaking. No overheating or other symptoms at this point.

The AC condenser is att. to the front of the radiator.

My question - can I just unbolt the condenser from the front of the radiator, remove shroud, disconnect hoses, disconnect cooling fan electrical, unbolt radiator from support and lift out the radiator w/out messing with disconnecting/recharging the AC (i.e. leaving the condenser in place)?

thanks, Al

Just found some info on the internet. Looks like you can just unbolt and leave the AC condenser in place.

Also easiest if you remove the bumper first and I guess you must remove the upper radiator support member to get it out.

Your 2004 is way different than my 98 but I just upgraded to that year setup rad and condenser minus the shroud crap the 2004 has. pulling the bumper makes things way easier but the upper radiator support can stay but Im not familiar with the elaborate shroud that year has. The 2004 has different A/C connections and tube routing.

I think just pull bumper then go from their

Yep. Pop the top support off (6 bolts- 13 or 14 mm i think), pop the bumper off (4 bolts on the front, may or may not have side braces, all are 18mm). Take the plastic shrouds off, unplug the electric fan, remove it (3 8mm bolts I think), then undo hoses and remove radiator.
