Default Vacuum hose on front axle

So while I was swapping passenger side front fenders around on my trucks I noticed a hose on both trucks coming from the front axle and eventually they are both plugged. Should that hose be connected somewhere or is it better off plugged?

Those are not plugs. They are check valves and they are vent hoses for the differentials.

Oh ok. On the diagram on my hood it shows that it goes from the intake to the axle they are different lengths on both trucks so just thought I would ask. Thanks
