idle air control valve

Default idle air control valve

does this control valve have alot to do with gas mileage on my 3.9 motor
sometimes it won,t idle,i have to touch the gas petal a little,i allready changed the
throttle positon sensor,thanks

affects idle yes, hence the name. Doesn't usually affect fuel mileage since it closes off idle.

Bad/failing O2 sensors are more likely to affect your mileage.
