Default 03 Dakota Passager Headlight

Was flickering, now no power to plug. I cant find a short. If the CTM was bad I believe both headlights would be out, correct?

Headlight switch would kill power to both sides I think. Is there a fusable link somewhere? Parking lights and fog lights are fine, only the headlight.

Should I pull out the CTM and clean all connections? Don't think from the wring diagram the headlights are on a separate circuit (wiring path) in the CTM.

Frustrated. Thanks for any help.

Default Now have pwr but bulbs (muliple wont light)

Now have power to the plug, both hi and low and ground to the plug and/or battery but still the lamp wont light. I have tried multiple lamps. How can I see if I am getting enough power to the plug? Shouldn't it be 12 volts, which lights the test light. I am also getting power through the lamp to the test light both to the battery ground and the bulbs but none of them (bulbs) will light up.

Welcome to the forum AS.

What year? The electrical varies widely depending upon the year.

Default 2003 Dakota

Ground is good but I will run a secondary ground to the plug just in case. Doesn't look to be pulling enough volts to light the filament.

There are separate driver circuits for each headlight so they can fail, and usually do, independently.

The CTM is likely bad.

Found the issue. The CTM had a burnt lead and male plug was a bit fired. Looking for a CTM # P56049072AL. Anyone out here have one for sale?
