Default Rear drums and shoes

So I recently rebuilt the drum brakes on my 2001 dodge Dakota with the 11inch drums. Long story short, I didn't replace the self adjuster cable, the shoes fell out of adjustment, and now my pads look like the picture. I only drove on it for about a week before I had the self adjuster cable replaced and they work like a charm now. The only thing is that there is still a little bit of vibration from the back when braking moderately/heavily. My question is if these shoes are shot or will they eventually smooth out over time. I'd rather not have to replace the shoes again, installing the damn things requires 3 hands. I'm going to be replacing the drums because they are still warrantied. Can I get away without swapping shoes?

They look okay to me. You can always change them after replacing the drums, just don't drive too many miles before doing that.
