This is what im starting with, I'm looking for lots of direction in making tbis truck like new for my grandson and I. You guys have been there and done that with these trucks and can save me a ton of money and mistakes I would probably be making guessing of whats the best way to upgrade this truck.

Start with telling us what engine you will be working with?

Well it's already upgraded with a SC. What else do you want to upgrade?

It has 212,000 miles on it, I dont know the history behind the motor. I have contacted the original owner by mail but havent recieved any information from him yet.
I want to rebuild the motor with the most hp I can get where it is still dependable. I want the truck to be fast. My intentions were to get a dakota and stick a hemi in it. When I found this one everything changed. I want atleast 400 hp, 400 torque. I have been reading all the forums for weeks and there is so many mods made to them. I want to make this little truck run with just about anything on the street. The parts are availible I just want to know the right combination of what guys have had good luck with. Does this make sence to you.

I have been intouch with hemifever, who has given me some upgrades and a tune for the engine now. But I need to know where the motor is at right now. I feel like its just a stock motor with the sc.
I have also contacted ramair qnd waiting for his reply. They have the performance parts for the 4.7.
Im looking for which heads go with what cam. Should I bore the block .30 ect. The ho cams seem to be difficult to purchase.
I really appreciate the help

My opinion but if researched things come up

The 4.7 is on the fragile side a good engine for street use if maintained properly but with some glaring problems if ignored.

Thanks, I know you have to reduild if you want to put some real power to it. I haven't had any luck finding someone that rebuilt one for serious power.
