Default Not Starting While Hot

New to the forum so please bear with me and thanks in advance for any help offered.

2001 Dodge Dakota 4 Door 4.7L 2 Wheel Drive.

Truck runs GREAT! However I'm having a major problem that has me on the fringe of getting rid of the truck.

The truck cold starts perfect, however once the engine reaches normal temps, it doesn't want to start back up. Example: Drive to Kroger shut it off, doesn't want to start back when leaving.

No codes related to fuel or anything, there is an exhaust code but I would think it would be related and have been told it isn't related. The truck has done this for 2 years and I have taken it to 3 different shops and dumped $1300 into this issue and I'm tired of people attempting to fix it and it not getting fixed so I'm going to do it myself. Once I figure out what it is.

Thanks

Well listing what has been done by the shops is a start or do we guess that.

Info always helps

To the best of my knowledge the fuel lines have been pressure tested. The fuel pump and filter have been tested. I was informed everything looked fine.

When attempting to start while hot it turns over fine, not a starter or power issue I would assume. After a few minutes I will begin to smell fuel. Plugs and wires were just replaced, so it shouldn't be a fire issue.

Honestly guys I'm a parts changer, I am very handy and smart enough to figure out how to install a part, but the figuring out "what" is the cause of the problem isn't my strong suit.

Is there a heat sensor or something that would tell the computer to not start due to temperature? I feel in it my gut it is something simple, just figuring it out, that's the fun part.

Hope this helps, and Thanks
