Default Towing with bumper hitch, need some help

2004 QC 4.7, heavy duty package...

My truck has the factory rear bumper with a hole for a tow ball... my questions are these:

What size ball fits in the factory bumper?

I am looking to tow a dinky little tent trailer I may be picking up for a song so I don't know how to tow it... as in, the bumper is much higher (stock heavy duty springs) than the tongue and hitch of the trailer. What does one do in this situation?

Cheers and thanks in advance!

Install a proper trailer hitch. If the bumper is too high, you can't really do anything about it unless you want to get into lowering brackets and such to bring the level down. The hole is a standard size, you can measure it to find out how big the hole is and how big the shank on the ball needs to be.
