02 Dakota 4x4 Quad Sport. On a 2hr jaunt, power steering failed. Pulled over, power steering fluid everywhere, cap on tight but empty reservoir (was full last week). Cleaned up with degreaser and refilled reservoir. Still no leaks, but no power steering at slow speeds at parking, horrifyingly works only intermittently at cruising/highway speeds, harder on left hand turns. Any suggestions would be great! Replace the Pump & Reservoir &/or the Rack?

 

if you ran it dry you could have damaged the pump.
