Default 3.55 vs 3.92 With NV3500

I have a 2000 club cab slt 4x4 with the 4.7, nv3500 3.55 open diff, currently have 31x10.5 15 hankook atm. I am going to have my shop install an Auburn Ls. I am doing this for better traction in winter and I drive quite a bit on forest roads, driveable trails, and often times find myself going on at trails that are badly mangled. I am wondering if I should have him put in 3.92 instead of the current stock 3.55, the nv3500 seems to take forever to get from 0-60, and 1st gear is hardly even practical. I was wondering from someone who had the same set up what your experience is. Thank you

I have the 4.7, NV3500, and 3.92's in my 2000 club cab.

It'll wake it up. The 4.7 likes to rev!

Thanks for replying. Is yours the 9.25 axle? Limited slip?
