I have a ‘97, 3.9 5 speed 2wd. I’m stripping the body off and am using the chassis under a ‘48 Dodge 1/2 ton. I have a 360 Magnum that I’ll use (the 3.9 is toast), that will be carbureted. The 360 is a Ram engine, and I understand I need an oil pan from a Dakota? If so, are the 318 Magnum pans the same as the 360 ones? I assume that the Durango’s use the same pans as the Dakota’s?

 

360 and 318 magnum engines are dimensionally exactly the same. All the external parts are interchangeable.
