I want to put a new exhaust on my 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Sport Plus 4x2 with the 4.7L and I just wanted to know which exhaust systems would work out better for my truck. I want to get something as legally possible in Northern Virginia. Any idea's???

flowmaster has that great sound- but magnaflow is a little bit louder. glasspacks are a loud, racy sound, and straight pipes... freakin loud.

if you want something dependable, which will last you a long time- flowmaster.

I'm with the rest. Flowmaster is the way to go. I have the 4.7 with a Flowmaster 40 series single in dual out and I love it. Sounds awsome.

Hey, I'm in northern VA too. Let me know what you end up getting and where you get it. I've had alot of trouble finding a place that would work on my truck.
I just got an 05 Dakota (had an 04 but that's another, sad, story...). and want an exhaust as well. I was thinking of the Delta Flow 40 series. Does anyone know how this sounds? I want it loud but I also want to be able to hear people talk in the Cab.
Thanks for any advice.

Forgot to add something to my last post:
A company called magnumexhaust is selling custom fit flowmaster single in dual out exhausts for dakotas through 2005. They run about $200. Anyone bought from them? It seems like a good price but would love to hear some feedback from "real" people.

this guy in my town has a 4.7 L reg. cab 4x4 with a Borla dual exhaust, and it sounds sick as hell, all rumble.
