01 Dodge dakota / 04 dodge ram 1500 Interchangable
Ok i have an 04 dodge ram 4 dr, 1500 2wd 4.7 magnum that is about to return to the loan company due to a bankruptcy.
i have an 01 dodge dakota 4 dr 4wd with the 4.7 .... that being said
Ram just had a new transmission put into it, dakota has transmission / PCM issues... can the trans be swapped ram -> dakota? does the ram have a 3 plug pcm like the dakota or is it just the 4 plug complete PCM? anything else i should possibly rip off this ram before allowing the thiefs that i got my loan through to re-aquire it ? Please any and all input on how easy / hard this will be to do and any hints, tips, guides on how to do it because i would like to make the ram atleast look somewhat unchanged for them to take back so what comes outta the dakota goes to the ram and vice versa I'm only concerned on what will work from the ram on the dakota tho, ( the **** being put on the ram is just for at a glance effect and that's only if it is something that is just bolt in place )

Nope, the transmissions won't swap. At least, not without completely disassembling them, and swapping some parts around. If you were going to do that, just rebuild the trans from the dakota. It would be easier.
