Engine roars
Hello everyone.
I am hoping someone can give me something to go on here. I recently purchased a dodge Dakota. My first truck
Its a 2000 Dodge Dakota 3.9L V6 Automatic
I love it and it is a great truck but it just started doing something that I don't understand.
When at a stop sign or red light or when first starting out the engine roars for about 10 seconds and dies back down to what I would consider normal. During this time if I try to accelerate it just seems to drag the "roar" out longer and stays at the same speed. Some days it goes without doing it once during a hour drive in stop and go situations. Other days every time when starting out. The rpms are normal and don't seem to move when this occurs. Any suggestions?
