hey guys. i have a have a '00 dakota sport with the 5.9 4 speed and 3.92 rear end. the reverse half works. when i got the truck off a buy here pay here lot it would reverse off a few revs. now if u manually push the truck backward a car length (or rev 30 times) it will reverse on normally untill u switch into drive/park again . it also stalls on start if its really cold or has been sitting. does anyone have a clue what this could be?

 

Sounds like internal trans problems...... Stalling may just be a dirty throttle body. How long have you had it?
