Default 99 2nd gen v8 4x4 possible rear main seal leak

I just got this truck, has a fair oil leak. I'm thinking of using blue devil rear main sealer. Has anyone used this product and what'd you think? Any other quick fixes anyone know Of? Thank you for any feedback!

There is no quick fix for a rear main seal leak.... However, they aren't that hard to change. If you have a full-size truck, you can drop the pan without lifting the motor. It's a two-piece seal, so, relatively easy to change.

am I accessing it by dropping just the lower portion of the pan with gasket and boom it's there? And then replace the oil pan gasket as well when I put it back together? That simple?

Is this a dakota, or a full sized truck? On the dakota, I believe they are independent front suspension, and it makes getting pan out far more challenging.
