Default 2000 Dodge Dakota winding noise

So I've been running my Dakota for a while now without problems and then all of a sudden it starts making this winding up / down noise. I wish I can post a video.

Gotta give us more than that. That is too vague to even speculate.

What kind of tires are you running? Sounds like normal tire sounds to me.

31 in falkens but they never made the noise though. It gets incredibly loud in the cab to the point that I can't hear the radio on full blast. Recently checked the rear diff to make sure it wasn't that ( it wasn't). I just don't want it to turn out to be something like the tranny crapping out on me.

I agree, sounds like tire noise. Possibly a front wheel bearing. For a trans to make that noise, it would be dead (I know that as a fact).
