Default Lifter Noise

I am running an 04 Dakota with the 3.7 . currently has 77,856 miles on it. I have run 5w30 full synthetic since 1st oil change @ 4000 miles. I noticed this morning after I got to work ,which is about 17 miles , that I have developed what sounds to me , a lifter tick . I have not messed with lifters since around 1990 and that was on a small block chevy rebuild. are these hard to change and can these hydraulic lifters be changed to solid ?

Isn't the 3.7 single overhead cam? Don't think using solid lifter in that would be wise...... not to mention, I don't think anyone makes them for it.

Think I would pull the valve covers, and make sure you are getting good oil pressure to the heads.
