Default New to group - resurection & upgrading wife's 2003 quad cab

Howdy All;

we have been slowly rebuilding/resurecting/upgrading
the wife's 2003 Dakota SLT Quad Cab.

new:
t-stat
hoses
waterpump
radiator
serpitine belt
4 new shocks
hubs
upper & lower control arms
tie rod ends
front pads
swaybar end links
headlight assemblies
fog lamps (smoked)
4 new cheapie speakers (all budget could afford)
front end alignment
oil pressure sending unit
wiper blades

picked up @ u-pull it yesterday (Saturday)

a pair of Dark Grey leather multi function power seats w/ heat - both sides are power seats

the leather is in very nice shape - put conditioner/rejuvinator on it last night - they cleaned up very nice - these seats have the Ram logo sewn into the headrests - came out of a Durango - ($60) for the pair :-)

I have an idea -

need to redo wife's headliner - thinking about pulling a headliner from a durango that has the booster fans & vents & having the hvac booster system installed in her quad cab for our teenage kids to stay cool in our Az summer heat

I would have to find a competant upholstery shop here in Phoenix, who could do the work -

Cindy's truck is red
2003 w/ 130,000 miles
4.7ltr / automatic / 2wd

stuff still to repair -

rear spring shackles
rear bumper
motor mounts/tranny mounts

would like to install a powerslider rear window, trailer hitch & wiring, rear seats recovered in matching leather, different door panels, sound proof door panels, better stereo system,.....

the list go on,......

I've got the same truck. You'll probably end up needing upper ball joints and sway bar end links. Would like to see a pic of the seats, if you don't mind. What year durango did they come out of?

Replaced all of that - when we rebuilt the frontend I bought a kit that had upper & lower control arms complete , along w/ inner/outer tie rod ends, & swaybar endlinks -

The seats came out of a durango of the same bodystyle as the wife's Dakota

Very nice seats! I'd swap too, if I ever come across those. About the headliner, I swapped mine too, with a nice non-sagging unit from a junkyard dakota. In order to get that thing in, I had to remove front and rear seats, including the rear back rests. So if you can find a non-sagging headliner, I'd do that when swapping the seats. Just be careful that the roof console cutout is the same size, if you get one from the junkyard.
