02 Dakota SXT - center floor console wiring diagram
I recently purchased an '02 Dakota SXT that didn't have a center console. I found a replacement console from a local chop shop that physically fits perfectly except for the electrical connections.
In the truck I have a 2-wire connector and the console has a 4-wire connector. I've been Googling for some kind of wiring diagrams to figure out wire voltages and such in preparation for wiring this in. Then I thought of this forum and decided to post the question here after searching the forum and not finding the information.
The center console has a 4-wire connector that goes to a 12v outlet inside the console as well as to the console interior light switch. My biggest worry is if the light takes a lower voltage or something similar. The 2-wire truck connector appears to be 12v.
Thoughts? Any info is appreciated. I may end up digging out the multimeter this weekend and tracing wires but thought that I'd ask first.
Thanks for any and all help!

I found another thread somewhat similar to this one that gets me a little closer to what I need (thread is at http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/...p/t-39478.html). The only question remaining is if the courtesy light inside is 12v or if it needs something different. I'm probably going to use a 2-wire pigtail connector that I bought to install new window regulators (but have not yet gotten around to installing) to connect to the 2-wire connector on the truck floor and then splice to the wires for the 12v power outlet in the console. I'm not sure how to handle the courtesy light, though, so I'm hoping that someone can answer whether it takes 12v power (in which case I'd splice it in) or something different (in which case I'd leave it disconnected).
It looked like I was on my own with this one so I went ahead and cut off the 4-way connector on the console and spliced in a 2-wire connector with appropriately-sized wire, put everything together and it actually works great and exactly what I needed. The wires ended up being configured for the power outlet (red (+), black (-)) and courtesy light (pink (+), yellow (-)). The 4-wire female connector was a Delphi 07262-L but I could never find a corresponding male connector, unfortunately, which was the clincher for me moving to the 2-wire configuration that I mentioned in my earlier post. I'm adding this information to the post in the hopes of helping someone else out in the future.
As for my question/need, I've got the project taken care of now and am happy with it turned out.
