Default Vacuum leak

Is that accessible under the hood or inside the dash?

Windshield whippers need to come off its under the plastic cowl but check all other possibilities first.

Im not sure but a vacuum test on the tank should tell you if thats leaking without needing to open things up. I think a vacuum brake bleeder would be a good test pull a vacuum watch the gauge if it leaks you should see the vacuum drop.

You need a vacuum brake bleeder that has a vacuum gauge on it.

I finally got around to checking it out just a few mins ago the reservoir held vac. I tried the small line going to the controls but didnt get anything. Should that line be holding vac? I think im going to have to go into the dash to find the problem. Sprayed about a half can of starting fluid the other day to try to locate a leak in the engine compartment but got nothing.

You can just pull the controller out and look it over and test each line its not too hard to pull but the bash bezel must be removed first. It will not come out 100% just some unless you pull the blend vent cable.

This is the vac connector to the controller this one is a cut off from a junkyard the colored lines are vac lines.

Will do it this weekend. Should I use the mighty vac to test the line or just run the truck and feel the lines for vac?

Never tested them myself each line activates a unit or lever for a door.

So sorry no answer

Have you looked up under the dash for the HVAC for damaged vac lines they are color coded I had pictures of each vac unit but cant find them.

Pulling the glove box and door helps some then you get a better look at the HVAC unit.

I will say replacement vacuum units are ZERO no longer available unless that changed recently.
