Looking to buy new All Terrain tires for my 2002 Dakota quad cab 2 wheel drive. stock it has 255/65/16's on it and I am looking at LT 275/70/16...how much of a difference in braking will I notice with an LT tire versus a passenger series rated tire?

 

Biggest change is the two inch taller tire..... gives the tire more leverage on the brakes. (more effort required for same braking effect.)

 

You know a really good place for comparisons on tires is Motor Trend or Consumer Reports web sites where they actually test the tires in all types of conditions and post the results. It cost's a few bucks to join but there is a wealth of information you'll have access to all year . . . then you can share it with the Forum!
