Default HD rear end wheel bearings

Hello all, I have a 1999 Dakota SLT, with 3.9 4 speed auto, 9x2.5 rear. The wheel bearings I ordered seem to have an OD of 64.292mm, while my old bearing seems to be around 64.5mm. I've read the HD rear end has a larger wheel bearing but haven't been able to find the size specification, nor does anyone offer the larger bearing. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

The 9.25 on that build sheet is for the rear brakes.

The axle is at the bottom of the left hand column, Chrysler 8.2.

You likely do not have the 9.25 with the 3.9 unless it was ordered. The gear ratio is standard for the 8.25 rear too.

How many bolts are on the cover plate to the differential? 10 bolts is the 8.25, 12 is the 9.25?

I double checked last night and my rear is the 8.25. Not quite sure why a slightly larger bearing is fitted, but the standard size seems to be much too loose. Must be a worn hub.

It very well could be the replacement bearing. Try another brand.
