Default Differences between 99-00-01

Surely I am not the only person that constantly forgets what changed where/when. Perhaps this can become a sticky. Did some of these things happen at the 2000-1/2 model year point?

When did CCD get dropped in favor of PCI? When did PCI get dropped in favor of CAN?
When did cluster change from mechanical to electronic?
When did the AC vent and Radio switch places?
When did the door panels change design?
When did HVAC change from vacuum to electric?
When did CTM move from passenger footwell to driver footwell?
When did transfer case change from mechanical to electronic? When was AWD introduced?

Any other notable changes?

I don't know when it changed, but my '01 has electric servo motors on the HVAC box for the various doors.
It also has the electronic 4WD. I think '00 was the last year for the manual 4WD shift.
The A/C plumbing seems to have changed several times just in the '00 to '02 timeframe, with parts being moved around, sensors added, and sensors removed.

I do know that 2001 was an oddball year for HVAC - compressors are specific to that year only because the fittings block changed connections.

I can answer some of these.

When did CCD get dropped in favor of PCI? 2001
When did the AC vent and Radio switch places? 2001
When did the door panels change design? 2001
When did HVAC change from vacuum to electric? 2001
When did transfer case change from mechanical to electronic? 2001

It was a model year change.

Thanks Dan. So what things changed in 2000? Was that when all models went to 50 state/cali emissions?
