Transmission Alien Parts

Found this in the transmission pan after pulling it off of my 2002 Dakota Sport, automatic w/5.9L engine. Any ideas what is is?

Band anchor. Trans is gonna be problematic without it.

Need to reinstall that, and adjust your bands.
