Do most 2nd gen's have 29 spline rears?

Do most 2nd gen's have 29 spline rears?
I'm thinking of ordering an Aussie Locker for my 97' 3.9l. I'm like 95% sure I have a 29 spline Chrysler 8.25 rear end. If it is not 29 spline what would be the other option? Did the V8's come with a beefier rear axle?

Round cover is 8.25", octagon is 9.25"
There was a spline change, 96- is 27 and 97+ is 29 spline. There is no visual difference between housings.
Chrysler 8.25 - 27 spline, 1.17" diameter shafts, 8.25" ring gear, 3" axle tube - used 91-96
Chrysler 8.25 - 29 spline, 1.21" diameter shafts, 8.25" ring gear, 3" axle tube - used 97-01
