How do I find out my gas tank size 3.9 2003

I just got a 2003 Dakota 3.9L and according to the sticky posted above, it could have a 15 or 22 gallon tank. I stopped at the station and filled up when it was at 1/4 tank according to the gauge but put 14.5 in it when the pump kicked off on its own. So was the 22G tank an option or what?? I'd hate to run it below a 1/4 just to find out my gauge ain't right and run out of gas...lol. Is there a simple way to find out?? Thanks all

Yeah, go here, click on 'equipment listing', enter your vin, and hit submit. Will give you a list of stuff your truck came with from the factory, including size of the tank.
