Anyone on here got some bad experience with the key and block leveling kits? Never used one or even heard of them until I started looking for a lift kit for my dakota.
It's reasonably the only way to go, really. Just be aware with torsion bars that you'll want to absolutely flood the keys in PB blaster for a solid week before pulling them apart, and they will almost always be under load, even when free-hanging. Be careful if you've never worked with torsion springs before.
Yeah I heave worked with them before doing some front end work. But I find it hard to believe that there is barely any kits for these dakotas
Dak/Dur platform is very under-supported. There are no spindle lift kits or anything of the sort for the front. Keys and blocks are the only option. Many many moons ago Tough Country IIRC made a kit but it was D/C'd probably 8-10 years ago
No need for the keys you can just crank your factory bars, I cranked mine 2" and put a 1.5" block in the rear to keep the rear slightly higher. It still rides fine with the bars cranked up.
New problem. I guess somebody has already cranked the keys all the way up. I honestly don't think there is any room for adjusting them. Would a new set of keys fix this?
