Like the subject said I was looking over my new pickup and saw the evap canister didn't have any hoses hooked up to it. I've searched the web for a diagram, so I can get some hose and hook it up properly, but I can't find anything. It's a 1997 Dakota with a 3.9 V6 4x4 extra cab. Standard shift. From what the people at Napa auto parts told me it doesn't come with an EGR valve. I don't know what I'm going to do if I can't find something that tells me how to hook this thing up.

I’m talking about a factory service manual. Specific to your truck.

charcoal canister under the truck receives a hose from the purge solenoid (which then goes to manifold) as well as a hose from the fuel tank. There is also a 1/4" hose but i forget where it goes.

That helps a lot. I just have to figure out where that 1/4" hose goes now. Thanks.

I forget which hose goes where...let me check FSM, i know i relied on that page when i relocated my charcoal can.

large hose from can to the purge solenoid to the intake manifold, large hose from can to leak detection pump and it's filter, and small hose to the filler neck. At least that is what it shows...

Here you go.
