Default Backing plate/dust shields

My nipple broke on my 01 dakota right rear backing plate. I know its the 11" drum brake, I believe to it being the "sport" model. But I cant find any parts house other than the dealership, that carries the 11" which is asking quite a bit for one. I've been looking and the durango has 11" brakes, would I be able to buy one for a durango and instal it to my dakota?

Not sure I understand. The brake fittings are attached to the wheel cylinder, not the backing plate....

The spri g that keeps the return tension on pads off of the drum, hooks to a little nipple on top of the backing plate, just about the wheel cylinder. That nipple gave way allowing my pads to come free and tore everything up. My question is, will a 11" backing plate for a durango work for my second gen dakota? Having trouble locating them at parts store for a dakota.

Which side do you need?

Right: 5014128AB
Left: 5014129AB

They are out there, but, they sure aren't cheap.

I looked on mopar! But yeah that's exactly what I need. The 164 price is what the dealership quoted me so that's better. I appreciate you helping me get her back on the road!
